I wanted to share some of my favorite photos from my session with Meredith and Jon. It had rained all day but stopped just in time for us, so the sky was perfectly overcast, giving us the perfect amount of light.

I’ll never get tired of taking photos in Old Town Alexandria. It’s got enough variety to keep things interesting, but enough charm to feel romantic.

Maybe my best lens purchasing decision was my Nikon 85mm f/1.8. I’ve been so happy with how sharp portraits turn out with this lens, and how creamy the backgrounds look.

 

I love how natural they look together!

All in all, I had the best time photographing this couple. It made me really excited for their May wedding. I can’t wait to photograph more laughs shared between the couple with the people they love most surrounding them.
